So I’ve just completed a run of four tournaments in the past 16 days. Hugely enjoyable couple of weeks on the road.
I started at the Western Massachusetts Open, a one day event, I shot 69 and finished T2nd. From there I drove to Maine and played the Greater Bangor Open and the Maine Open. At Bangor I came close once again. I shot 63,70,65 and finished T4th. That second round killed me, I was -3 thru 7 and made a couple of silly errors after that. A good last round but not enough to catch the leader on -15. However, a big positive to take from the week was shooting my lowest round as a pro in round 1. Here is a link to a video piece the local Fox News did on me that week –
Onto the Maine Open. I shot rounds of 70,69 there which left me T18th. The New Hampshire Open was a great event at Manchester CC. I didn’t have my best iron game with me but I managed good rounds of 69,69,70 which resulted in an 11th place finish. Really felt I could have won that tournament too but the back 9 was my downfall in all three rounds. I slightly tougher nine holes but being +3 for the week on them cost me greatly.
Despite not picking up that win I’m craving so badly it was a successful run of events and I’m happy with the progress I’m making. I’ve entered the Web.Com Q School in September so I’ve about 5 weeks preparation for that.
Thank you for your support as always.
